Which product do I prefer?
I like pads because they are very absorbent. And of course I was afraid to use tampons, so I stuck with pads. But now my favorites are tampons because it is not messy to use at all. And when you are in the bathroom at school they are much quieter to open and insert than opening and putting on a pad. I know tampons seem scary, but once you try them, I'm sure you'll love them!
Pads
*What are pads?
-Pads are things that have a sticky lining that you put in the bottom of your underwear to soak up the blood as it comes out of your vagina.
*Are there different types of pads?
-There are a lot of different types of pads! Pads with wings, without wings, thick pads, thin pads, long pads, extra long pads, and many more. To figure out which pad is right for you; you can google your flow and they will tell you what pad would be best for you, or you can buy different types of pads, and choose the ones you like the most.
*Can you swim with pads?
-No! If you swim with pads, all that will happen is that the pad will absorb the water, and not your blood! BUT: for a lot of girls, when they swim; their period stops. So you may not even have to worry about wearing products while swimming!

Tampons
*What are tampons?
-Tampons are things that go into your vagina that soak up the blood before it exits your vagina. It is a lot cleaner and easier to use!
*What are applicator-less tampons?
-They are tampons without a plastic/cardboard applicator. So to use these, you have to insert the tampon with your fingers. A good, well known brand is 'ob' tampons!
*Whats the difference between cardboard and plastic applicator tampons?
-There isn't much of a difference other than one has a plastic applicator and the other one is cardboard. I personally like the plastic ones more because they are easier to use and smoother to insert, though they cost a little more than the cardboard ones.
*Will the tampon get lost inside me?
-No, the vagina has a wall of skin that makes sure the tampon doesn't get lost inside you. You have nothing to worry about(:
*Will the tampon string come off when its inside me?
-No, that will not happen! The tampon string is sewn into the actual tampon itself; so there are no worries of it ever coming off!
*How many different sizes of tampons are there?
-There are lites, regular, super, super plus, and ultra. I would definitely start off with the lites and slowly work your way up! If you're a beginner; do not start with super or super plus. That will just hurt!
*Can you swim with tampons?
-Of course! This is what most girls wear when they swim. And no, the string will not hang out of your swimsuit bottoms(:
*How long can I leave a tampon in?
-Only up to 8 hours at the most. Leaving them in longer could cause TSS (Toxic Shock Syndrome), but that is very unlikely.
*Do tampons hurt?
-Nope! If you insert them correctly, you won't even feel them.
*Does using tampons mean that I've lost my virginity?
-No! You haven't lost your virginity until you have had sex. Your hymen may break, but you will still 100% have your V-Card.(:
*Brand I recommend for beginners?
-I recommend Playtex Gentle Glide, for sure! They are really small, so they are much easier to fit in for the first time(:

Reusable Pads

-Reusable pads are cloth pads that you can wash and use again.
*Is it gross to use them?
-No! Think of you getting your clothes all muddy. All you have to do is throw them in the washer and they are clean again! It's the same thing with these types of pads.
*Why should I buy these?
-Buying these pads would save you a lot of money because you won't have to go and buy more pads when you run out of the disposable kind. (:
