What if my mom won't let me wear tampons? - Bri, 15
If she won't let you wear tampons, then I would just wait to ask her again for a while. If you keep asking it'll just annoy her and she will keep saying no! If you wanted, you could write her a note and tell her all the good things about wearing a tampon. Maybe then she will change her mind!
I'm scared to use tampons, what do I do? - Mckenzie, 13
Don't be afraid! Just relax. You'll be surprised at how much easier, faster, and cleaner it is to use a tampon! Nothing to be afraid of! And if you don't like them, you can always go back to pads!
What is your favorite pad and tampon? - Naya, less than 13
My favorite pad is Always Ultra Thin and my favorite tampon is Playtex Sport.
I have a step-sister and we share a room. It's awkward to be there when I'm on my period because I don't feel like I can talk to her about it because she doesn't understand what i am going through. And it makes me upset because I have not been able to go on vacations because of my period. - Kayla, 13
She's old enough, so I'm sure she knows what having a period is, PLUS she's your sister! So there's no reason to feel awkward about periods. And she will get her period sooner or later, but the main thing: don't let your period hold you back from having fun!
How should I tell my mom that I need to buy products because I already have my period but I didn't tell her. - Justina, 14
You'll have to tell her sooner or later that you have your period because you can't keep it a secret forever! Just be like, "Mom, I want to go to the store to get some period products" if she asks why just tell her! She's been through it before!
My mom doesn't get her period anymore and from what I know she didn't wear tampons. How can I tell I want to start wearing some? - Erii, 16
Just tell her that you want to experiment with tampons and see if you like them better, or just tell her that you don't like the way pads feel (or whatever your reason is) and that's why you want to get some tampons!
I am 13 and I haven't started my period yet, my mom started when she was 11. I've had pubic hair for about 3 years now and my breasts have been developing for about 5-6 years. Is there something wrong with me? When will i start? - Paige, 16
Of course theres nothing wrong with you! It does sound like you're going through the first couple stages of puberty. Just stay prepared for when your period does come!
I got my first period and I take tae kwon do. We wear white uniforms! I don't wanna have my period during tae kwon do. What should I do? -Anylah, 13
Well, you can't avoid your period, so just wear extra protection! Try wearing overnight pads to tae-kwon-do, and if you wear a tampon, wear one of those too!
